Hi everybody! My name is Calen, I have been homeschooled all my life and have so many things I enjoy doing! I know that this blog may start out small, but hopefully it grows! So I guess I'll tell you a little bit about myself. I have 3 sisters and no brothers, all of us have been homeschooled since we started, my parents are the youth pastors at our church and I am a believer in Christ. I enjoy swimming, singing, dancing, babysitting and so much more. I enjoy shopping and things like reading or writing stories in my spare time. I have 2 dogs, Mercy and Wigeon, Mercy is a red/yellow lab and Wigeon is a black lab, Mercy will be 8 years and Wigeon will soon be 5 months, so yup, she's a puppy. I also am a fan of Frozen and Disney and so many more, I enjoy watching movies, but sometimes a good book with a hot (or cold) drink is my way of relaxing. With having 3 sisters and no brothers, us girls tend to enjoy classical movies. The Princess Bride, Pride and Prejudice (the 5 hour version with Collins Firth), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers are just a few of the classics that we have seen many times, they never get old. While we have our girl moments, we all have a bit of 'redneck' in us. Anyways, I guess that's enough about me.
So, why did I decide to start blogging and specifically on the subject of names? Well ever since I was very little I have always loved names, ones that were unique and just creative. I think that names are so beautiful and there are thousands out there! It gives everyone something that is personal and they own the name, some people hate their names, some love their names and when your expecting or going to adopt maybe, choosing a name is huge. I will talk about the names, their origins, their meanings and variations, where they come from and much more. So hopefully I'll be able to do this daily, sometimes I won't.
The names will range from ones like Isabelle or Oliver to Liana or Micah, each one I'll give my opinion, ask for yours, give the origin, meaning and a little something else on the name.
